You will be introduced to a simple mosaic-making technique using ceramic and glass tiles. Each participant will create a mosaic piece of their own design which they will be able to take home. We provide all materials and tools required✨ We will look into Ukrainian mosaics through history and talk about mosaics as a monumental art form and their place in modern culture. We will also show a short film about mosaics Heritage by Arina Sirochenko.
All profits from this event will go to support the Ukrainian volunteer initiative @repair.together, which help to restore homes in the communities that suffered from war and @base_ua_ngo who runs evacuations and provides humanitarian support in the frontline regions.
After 19:00 there will be music, drinks, and books by vsesvit, doors open for all. @tonbu.london will also join us from 7pm with a selection of art prints.
We will have mousse cakes and macaroons by amazing @break_for_pleasure with 25% of all profits going to our fundraiser.
The mosaic workshop will be led by Valeriia Ganicheva, Veronika Minchenkova and Mariia Pastukh.
